The weather during las weekend was great so we took a walk to take some photos around the beautiful Rome. The ones you see here were taken on the Flaminio bridge along Corso Francia, one of the many bridges that cross the Tiber river. It is the next to the famous Ponte Milvio, where every couple in love lays a lock to symbolize their compromise.
I found this jacket on the Mango sales and I loved it since I saw it. Super comfortable, filled of flowers and with a bomber cut, it’s perfect for the last days of the Roman winter. It had to be the protagonist of the outfit, so I chose a couple of black skinny jeans and a white large T-shirt (men’s one). I’ve been looking for a basic white T-shirt for a while and this one is The One; made of super soft cotton and very large as I wanted it, do you like it? I love the comfy touch that gives to the look and I think I’ll use it a lot now that spring is starting to bloom. The shoes, from Pertini, are my daily partners on the working days; they match pretty well with everything and, without ever playing the main role, they put the elegant point to the most basic outfits.

During the last months I’ve been looking everywhere for a pair of black bootcut jeans and those are the most similar thing I found, on H&M. I liked the idea of a simple outfit with an army green shirt and a pair of black high-heeled booties.
As Roman winter is not very cold, a wool short jacket is enough for going out during the day time. Together with my Mary Poppins bag (I can put everything inside) as an accessory, we have an easy work outfit for the week.
What do you think about it?

For the first time in Mel Rose Place a double look for boy and girl. Something that I’ve been willing to do for a long time but I couldn’t find any candidates for. This time it’s been possible thanks to Alberto Ormeño, founder of Cultura Hipster, and to Puma, that offered its brand new Trinomic trainers for our feet and which played the main role on the photo shooting. We took a walk with them on Sunday morning through the Ostiense area in Rome.
The Trinomic are the perfect shoes for a sporty look. Very comfortable for the long walks over the Roman pavement and to jump and make somersaults around. Because the promenade was long but not boring; Ostiense means a different Rome, a place without marble monuments but full of street art that colours the reminiscences of what was the Italian industry of the early ‘900. Not to mention the loads of pubs and restaurants that fill it of life during the evenings and nights. This, I leave it for another post…
