After a a few months looking forward to the day, August 10 was so intense that it went by in the blink of an eye. The wedding of one of my best friends was, without a doubt, the event of the year and it monopolized the summer conversations; before, during and after the celebration.
Such an important occasion deserved an outfit at its level. Making mine my friend Nico’s initial idea (she is the author of the very inspirational blog Un Café con Nico), I chose this one-shoulder red dress from Mango, made in a delicate silk fabric. A couple of Massimo Dutti emerald-green earrings as the only jewelry and a pair of very comfortable high-heeled sandals that let me dance free from any worries.
The wedding was a major success and my dress withstood 4 seafood dishes and 8 hours of full dancing without any stains or loose seams. I probably was a bit too classic, but I’m sure that, when I will check out my friend’s wedding album in 20 or 30 years time, I will thank myself for not having wore one of my extravagant looks… What do you think about it?
