Today Mel Rose Place starts a very special collaboration with the Spanish magazine Cultura Hipster. Each week we will visit, by bike, one of the most authentic places of Rome so you could meet the eternal city by its most quotidian side. We like the Italian capital because of its history and monuments, but also because of its people, its areas, its markets and, above all, because of its character. Together with Cultura Hipster and Mel Rose Place, you’ll discover a unique city in the best way it can be traveled; cycling.
This time we visited the Quartiere Coppedè, a small and particular area that is not usually included in the main touristic routes. Considered as an isolated expression of the early twentieth century Roman architecture, the quartiere takes its name from the architect who designed it in 1915. Its buildings and villas create a surreal atmosphere that transports us to an almost fantastic reality. In fact, its palazzi, scene of many urban legends, have inspired horror masters like Dario Argento.
